Chrome is asking permission to record when clients enter

Chrome asking permissions for “recording” on the client side when they enter session.

This is concerning some of my clients that I am recording their session. I am not sure how to respond.

It’s unfortunately just Chrome using poor wording, and we can’t control it. The browser says “permission to record” when it means “permission to use the camera.” Nothing is being recorded.

Also, I think it’s only Chrome on a phone or tablet that words it this way, though I’m not certain about that.

Will Doxy be contacting Chrome and asking them to change the wording?
Some people will accept your assurance, but there are those who remain uneasy.

If you think Google are recording you, then I encourage you to contact them about it. Or use a different browser, if possible.
