Is there a way to direct a patient in one provider waiting room to another? This could be part of a collaboration session or second opinion. Perhaps group call would suffice here, but the idea of being able to beam a video conference in real-time to another provider could be useful, especially in sub-speciality situations.
Hi Anthony! I posted about this in another thread:
If you would like to transfer a patient between providers, you have a few options:
- The providers can each be granted access to the other’s waiting room. Then, the patient will appear in the patient queue for both providers. This would work best if it is just a few providers who routinely share patients.
- A clinic account admin can create a shared waiting room. Then any patient who enters that waiting room will appear in the patient queue of all providers who have access to it. This works best if it is a large number of providers who are routinely sharing patients.
- After the first call is over, the provider sends the patient a link to the next provider’s waiting room via the chat box. This works best if it is a rare or unexpected occurrence.
If the patient is staying in the same waiting room, then the first provider has the ability to put the patient on hold for the second provider to resume the call.
Hi just wanted to follow up on this thread for future reference. There are many workflows depending on what you’re trying to accomplish. We created this quick survey that can help you decide.
Clinics now have the ability to transfer patients to other rooms! You can learn more here.
